Genesis with LED Light

   In contrasting bold resilience and gentle softness, Genesis radiates in a warm golden glow. The name of Genesis is inspired by Daxel’s newfound incorporation of light and sculpture. The piece flows outwards while bringing an intensity of focus inwards. Cut out of the centre of the metal base, a composition of shapes illuminate from within. Hoisted on the black prism is a golden glass sun framed by a crescent spine under its belly. Below the sun-like piece, a smaller circular jewel sits in bright radiance. Inside the glass, waves of yellow swirl in layered clouds threaded with darker shades and black speckles. The glass sun-like piece suggests the shape of a circle but is cut open; representing the unsatisfied desires in human nature of purpose and what could be. This cycle never closes in the continued search for something more.

    Genesis finds a new beginning by creating a space of reflection and discovery within the self; opening up to the possibilities of freedom and enlightenment.
